Isidore is tracking north-northeastward, moving rapidly from just northwest of Wheeling, W.V., into the Northeast. Recent storm totals are over 8 inches for Tupelo and Meridian, Mississippi, and for Jackson, Tenn.; 5 to 6 inches for Louisville and Hopkinsville, Ky.; and 4 inches for Dayton, Ohio. Flood watches are in effect for much of New York and Pennsylvania. Hurricane Kyle is maintaining it strength over the open Atlantic slowly drifting west-southwest. At this point it is almost south of Bermuda. Some weakening is possible over the next 24 hours as the shear continues to increase over the hurricane and drier air to the north of the storm is wrapped into its circulation. Thanks to the findings of the Air Force Reserve Hurricane Hunters, Lili is once again a tropical storm. Tropical storm warnings have been issued for Jamaica. Forecast tracks put Lili on a somewhat parallel path to the one that Isidore took which would bring the storm into the southern Gulf of Mexico just north of the Yucatan later this coming Tuesday. ...
