A fast moving, witty, clever piece of movie-making with a once-in-a-lifetime cast.Remarkably faithful to the play (minus, of course, the references to homosexuality -- it was 1939, after all), the film sweeps you along into the world of backstabbing and social climbing. Everyone in it seems to be having a marvelous time and so will you. (Fast forward past that awful fashion show, though.)Listen closely or you’ll miss more than one clever line.
